SJC Study Group
Sunday, March 25, 2018 • 9 Nisan 5778
3:00 PM - 4:00 PMSummit HillThe SJC Jewish Studies group meets on the very top floor of the Summit, 1200 University, which is a few blocks east of downtown Seattle.
This month we'll be reading The Orphan's Tale, by Pam Jenoff. Here's one review of it: A powerful story of friendship and the courage of regular Germans who found ways of saving Jewish lives during World War II. A Jewish acrobat is “hidden” in a gentile circus during Hitler’s regime, along with a young Dutch girl who has saved a Jewish baby from death. This is a page-turner as the reader follows the circus into France and the eventual survival of one friend and the death of the other.
So come on out and join us--free parking, free refreshments, and free mostly uninhibited dialog! (And to those of you who think the group is "too old", I can assure you that no one in the group is in the triple digits.)
So, happy reading, and I hope to see you on the 25th! Questions or comments, email Neal .
