Get Involved with SJC
- Hosting - Shabbat/Havdalah Host needed for November!
Share your space with the community for an evening! You set the place, date and time. SJC will handle registration, logistics, supplies and leading the service. - Support - Grantwriter 🔥🔥🔥
As the end of 5785 ('24-'25) fast approaches, we're quickly realizing that the costs of our current rate of growth are outpacing our current income from membership dues and Sunday School tuition. To avoid pushing those costs onto the community, we're immediately seeking volunteers with a talent for writing to help us apply for corporate grants and thus strategically position us to best afford all planned 5786 ('25-'26) programming.
Preferred: Experience with research, grant writing/professional writing, attention to detail. - Leadership - Steering Committee Members 🔥🔥🔥
A critical member of our leadership team stepped down at the end of 5785 ('24-'25), so we're urgently seeking motivated community members to start training, and help us prepare, for 5786 ('25-'26). Steering Committee members are the volunteerism backbone of this organization; if you are a jack of all trades and have ample time in your schedule to help us make SJC the best it can be, this role is for you! YOU decide what you'll bring to the table, and can step up or down from individual responsibilities and tasks as your skills and bandwidth allow.
Preferred: Experience with leadership/management, public speaking, technology. Drivers License and personal vehicle also preferred. - Leadership - Community Committee Chair
We're looking to expand our Committee offerings by reviving the Community Committee. The Community Committee Chair is a volunteer who would be responsible for community engagement activities like brainstorming/implementing new non-holiday programming and proactive prospect outreach.
Preferred: Experience with event planning, logistics, marketing, DEI, technology. - Leadership - Social Action Committee Chair
We're looking to expand our Committee offerings by reviving the Social Action Committee. The Social Action Committee Chair is a volunteer who would be responsible for brainstorming/implementing new environmental, social and community action initiatives.
Preferred: Experience with leadership, organizing, DEI, research.
