Get Involved with SJC

  • Hosting - Shabbat/Havdalah Host needed for May!
    Share your space with the community for an evening! You set the place, date and time. SJC will handle registration, logistics, supplies and leading the service.
  • Support - Grantwriter ðŸ”¥ðŸ”¥ðŸ”¥
    As the end of 5785 ('24-'25) fast approaches, we're quickly realizing that the costs of our current rate of growth are outpacing our current income from membership dues and Sunday School tuition. To avoid pushing those costs onto the community, we're immediately seeking volunteers with a talent for writing to help us apply for corporate grants and thus put us in a strategic spot for 5786 ('25-'26).
    Preferred: 1) grant writing experience, 2) professional writing experience, and/or 3) grant reviewing experience
  • Leadership - Steering Committee Members ðŸ”¥ðŸ”¥ðŸ”¥
    A critical member of our leadership team will be stepping down at the end of 5785 ('24-'25), so we're urgently seeking motivated community members to step up and help us wrap up the year and start training for 5786 ('25-'26).
    Preferred: Drivers License (and personal vehicle), good communicator, enthusiastic orator, tech savvy
  • Leadership - Community Committee Chair
    We're looking to expand our Board with a new volunteer who would brainstorm and run non-holiday activities/events to engage existing community members, as well as conduct proactive prospect outreach.
    Preferred: Experience with event planning/logistics, tech savvy
  • Leadership - Social Action Committee Chair
    We're looking to expand our Board with a new volunteer to lead our most driven community members who are just as passionate as you about tikkun olam: Repairing the world. Democratically decide with your committee what secular humanistic causes we could support, and brainstorm how you can best tap our resources to fight for those chosen causes.
    Preferred: Leadership experience, recent membership/participation in like-minded orgs, tech savvy
