Get Involved with SJC

  • Hosting - Shabbat/Havdalah Host needed for November!
    Share your space with the community for an evening! You set the place, date and time. SJC will handle registration, logistics, supplies and leading the service.
  • Leadership - Community Committee Chair
    We're looking to expand our Board with a new volunteer who specializes in CRM management, existing community engagement and proactive prospect outreach.
    • Be the first point of contact (via email) for people inquiring about us and secular humanistic Judaism.
    • Research and implement affordable community engagement options throughout the Sound.
    • Meet with SJC leadership monthly to check-in and brainstorm activities/events that could expand our community and/or re-engage former community members.
  • Leadership - Social Action Committee Chair
    In these turbulent times, our community's been calling for the revival of our Social Action Committee, so we're seeking a passionate volunteer to lead this effort in 5785.
    • Lead a group of volunteers in our greater community who are just as passionate as you about tikkun olam- repairing the world.
    • Democratically decide with your comrades what secular humanistic causes you want us to support.
    • Meet with SJC leadership monthly to check-in and brainstorm how you can best tap our resources to fight for chosen causes.
