Sunday, August 18, 2024 • 14 Av 5784
3:00 PM - 4:30 PMView Ridge Playfield Park, 4408 NE 70th St, Seattle, WA 98115After a particularly successful year drumming up interest and enthusiasm for SJC at Purim Fest and Fremont Fair, we're inviting the community, new and old, to gather for a brief "meet & greet" picnic before Rosh Hashanah. Get to know humanistic Judaism, the SJC, and your local Jewish community!
This is a free event, open to all ages, both human and animal, at a local community park in the View Ridge neighborhood of Seattle. Check out the municipal park website for more details and a full list of fun park amenities for the whole family!
There's no need to bring anything. We'll supply food, drink, ice, and chairs. Just show up!
Accessibility information:
- Paths through the park to all essential areas, including parking, restrooms and our meetup area, are smoothly and firmly paved for mobility-impaired access.
- Pets and support animals are permitted.
- Seating and shade are limited (the primary issue being that most seating is not located in the shade) as this event is outdoors, so consider bringing your own folding chair(s) and all are encouraged to wear sunscreen.
- Restrooms are available, but they are not gender-neutral.
- This is a public, outdoor space; sensory safe spaces (from sound, light, smells and close contact) are not available on-site.
- Generous street parking is available which can be accessed via 70th St & 45th Ave NE.
- Park serviced by public transit routes 62 and 65.
