Yom Kippur 5785/2024
Friday, October 11, 2024 • 9 Tishrei 5785
7:00 PM - 8:45 PMVirtual live-streamSJC's Yom Kippur service is being held at a private residence, and as such we have reached our limit to the number of in-person attendees we can accommodate.
However! Registration is still open for virtual livestream of the event! If you register now, you will receive a link to the livestream in your email inbox prior to the event.
Thank you so much for everyone's enthusiasm and we hope to see anyone who can't attend at other events this year!
Join the Circle for a secular humanist Kol Nidre service, graciously hosted and led by a handful of talented, longtime community members. This is a short service, but dense with meaning and value, so you won't want to miss it.
If you haven't attended an SJC Kol Nidre yet, we don't want to give too much away about it, but know that you're in for a treat! (Returning attendees: No spoilers please!) Come with your thinking cap on, ready and willing to reflect on the past year; not to beg forgiveness or to repent, but rather to use those observations of your past to brainstorm preparations for future-you's success.
Our service will be held in a private residence in the Victory Heights neighborhood of Seattle. Please note that this short program is intended to be quiet and introspective, so we respectfully ask that potential distractions, such as restless minors or pets, not be brought to this service.
FAQ: What distinguishes a traditional Kol Nidre service from a secular humanist one?
