Rosh Hashanah 5785/2024
Wednesday, October 2, 2024 • 29 Elul 5784
5:00 PM - 7:00 PMEvergreen neighborhood of Shoreline (exact location disclosed upon registration)Join the Circle to usher in Jewish Year 5785 with a secular humanist Rosh Hashanah service! 🍎🍯
Our Madrikh Jeff Treistman will be hosting the service this year in a lovely new venue in Shoreline. If you've never been to one of our Rosh Hashanah services before, you're in for a treat! The service will lead with a topical sermon, transition into an interactive, secular service, and culminate in a memorable tashlich. A kiddush will follow the wrap-up, with wine/grape juice, round challah, cakes, apples and honey for a sweet new year!
Attendees are welcome to bring Rosh Hashanah-themed (apples, honey, cakes, pomegranates, etc) foods and non-alcocholic drinks to share, but full ingredient lists must be included to accommodate those with dietary restrictions. (As this is intended to be a nosh & schmooze, no need to prepare big/full dishes; snack portions are preferred!) New! Print SJC Ingredients Card (fillable version)
