SJC offers a wide variety of cultural and educational opportunities. The
monthly Shabbat potluck, followed by a planned cultural program, warmly unites and embraces the SJC community. Annual holiday celebrations include beautiful and reflective Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services; fun Sukkoth, Hanukkah, and Purim celebrations; and a very festive Passover Seder with over 100 members and guests.
Tikkun Olam, or the act of repairing the world, is an important focus within the SJC community. SJC regularly supports Jewish Family Services and the Puget Sound Jewish Coalition on Homelessness, contributes to food banks, and plants trees and cleans parks in honor or Tu b'Shevat.
SJC also values continuous learning and offers unique learning opportunities for all members:
Adult education programs include regular discussion groups, films, and lectures.
Shalom Sunday, the yough education program, serves families and children looking to explore their Jewish roots and identities. More information is located on our Shalom Sunday page.
